Minister of State for Home Pradipsinh Jadeja today held a meeting with the office-bearers of GMERS (Gujarat Medical Education Research and Society) Faculty Association regarding their demands. The meeting listened to their questions in detail and accepted most of their demands. State Chief Minister Vijay Rupani has taken an important decision for medical teachers of GMERS colleges regarding non-practicing allowance. Under which they will be given NPA (Non-Practicing Allowance) in the case of Medical Teachers of Government Medical Colleges on the basis of which the NPA (Non-Practicing Allowance) is sanctioned as per the norms of the Seventh Pay Commission. Has been approved. Also, the benefits of Gujarat Medical Teachers Association (GMTA) NPA will be paid to the government medical teachers of the state as per the seventh pay commission.

Also, Minister of State for Home Affairs Pradipsinh Jadeja said that under the guidance of Chief Minister Vijay Rupani and Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel, the benefits of NPA (Non-Practicing Allowance) to government medical teachers in the state have been extended to O.M. The state government has taken an important decision to pay according to the seventh and seventh pay commission.

Decision now for some other demands

Minister of State for Home Affairs Pradipsinh Jadeja has said that for the welfare of the health of the citizens, the doctors have provided health facilities to the citizens without seeing them day and night. Which deserves congratulations. As many demands as possible have been accepted in today's meeting regarding some of their outstanding questions. While the state government is also positive for some other demands and a committee has been constituted for that. Based on his recommendation, a decision will be taken in the near future. GMERS has satisfactorily and satisfactorily resolved their queries by interacting with the Faculty Association.

The benefit of 7th Pay Commission to Tutor-Medical Officer recruited under GMERS

Minister Jadeja added that among the demands of the GMERS Faculty Association, demand has been accepted to approve the pay scales as per the Seventh Pay Commission for regular appointed medical teachers recruited under GMERS. Apart from that, the demand has also been accepted to approve the pay scales as per the Seventh Pay Commission from 1-1-16 to the doctors regularly appointed in the cadre of tutors and medical officers recruited under GMERS.

Proceedings for promotion of faculty recruited under GMERS

The Minister further said that in the case of medical teachers of government medical colleges in the context of the Seventh Pay Commission on the basis of which the NPA. This request will be accepted on an approved basis. In addition to the GMERS. Proceedings have also been initiated to give promotions to the faculty recruited on regular basis as per the rules.

Out of 14 requests, 11 requests were approved 

Elaborating on the important decisions taken by the state government, Minister Jadeja said that out of 14 demands of government medical teachers, 11 demands have been approved. While the attitude of the state government towards other costly demands is also positive. The NPA has been approved for all government medical teachers as per the Seventh Pay Commission, their main demand was to get the NPA approved in view of the effective work done by the government doctors-professors during the difficult times of Corona.

The same resolution for leave pay and pension will be ordered in a row

Minister Jadeja added that at present the services of ad hoc medical teachers will be regularized by a single standing resolution and the ad hoc services of medical teachers who are currently on duty and currently on an Adhoc basis in the upper cadre will be regulated. Not only this, by regulating the previous ad hoc service of the medical teachers on duty with the regular appointments, it will be ordered to continue with the existing regular service with the same permanent resolution for leave pay and pension.

He said that the temporary promotion of all medical teachers in government medical colleges in the state who have been given promotions for 6 months or 1 year on a temporary basis in anticipation of approval of Gujarat Public Service Commission in different subjects/cadres by the government should be continued. Will be ordered.

Only Adhoc tutor will be sanctioned salary as per 7th salary from 1-1-16

Orders will also be issued for a higher pay scale under CAS-Career Advancement Scheme. Medical teachers who are given a higher pay scale of co-professors and professors will be given separate nomenclature of the post. This will result in a significant increase in the number of seats in postgraduate courses. Similarly, pending promotion orders under the DPC of those medical teachers will be issued immediately. While only the remaining ad hoc tutors of medical teachers will be sanctioned as per the 7th salary from 1-1-16.

All ad hoc or GPSC services will be ordered in a row

The Minister added that in addition to the existing services of medical teachers, all other ad hoc or GPSC services previously performed under different departments under the Health Department would be ordered to be counted in a row. The GPSC and DPC will be done regularly every year, as well as ensuring that higher pay scale orders are done regularly every two months, he added. A detailed resolution covering all the accepted issues will be published within a week.
