The state government has announced to give new gifts to the people on the first day in the state starting today from 2021. Chief Minister Vijay Rupani has announced to purchase of 1000 new buses of Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation (GSRTC). These buses will be put in service from June.

Rupani from Gandhinagar e-launched 5 new bus stands

Chief Minister Vijay Rupani announced the inauguration of 5 new bus stands and 10 new bus stands in the state at a total cost of Rs 33.66 crore through video conferencing from Gandhinagar. According to which, it was announced to buy one thousand buses for the ST department in the state. It has also announced that a new 50E bus will be put in place for a clean and environmentally friendly public transport service in the state.

The Chief Minister said that Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation has provided a total of Rs. Five newly constructed bus stands at a cost of Rs 12.89 crore, Rs. He also lauded the ST services for providing relief to the people in times of natural calamities like floods, hurricanes, the transit of corona etc. This government has also made ST services passenger-centric by making timely changes in the services. Volvo, sleeper coaches, minibusses as well as a GPS system for operation as per specific schedule have also been employed in ST buses.
